Grapefruit League Overview

Florida Pro Baseball follows Grapefruit League teams in Florida. Fans can view schedules and interactive maps. They can also view photos and official Major League Baseball (MLB) team links.

The league includes fifteen MLB teams for Spring Training. Eight are from the American League, seven from the National League. Both MLB players and minor league prospects compete for roster spots.

On the Florida east coast along the Atlantic, teams play in Jupiter, which hosts the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals. They also play in Port St. Lucie, home to the New York Mets. In West Palm Beach, the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals conduct spring training.

Spring Training takes place in several cities on the west coast as well as in nearby central Florida. These include Bradenton (Pittsburgh Pirates), Clearwater (Philadelphia Phillies), and Dunedin (Toronto Blue Jays). Fort Myers hosts the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins. North Port is home to the Atlanta Braves, and Port Charlotte hosts the Tampa Bay Rays. Sarasota hosts the Baltimore Orioles. Tampa is the base for the New York Yankees. Lakeland, inland between Tampa and Orlando, hosts the Detroit Tigers.

The 2026 Grapefruit League season begins on February 20, according to the official MLB schedule.
