2026 FSL East First Half Champions: Jupiter Hammerheads
The Jupiter Hammerheads clinched the 2026 Florida State League East Division first-half crown with an 8–1 win over Daytona. The victory on June 14 at Jackie Robinson Ballpark secured a postseason berth.
The Hammerheads are a Single-A Florida State League (FSL) affiliate of the Miami Marlins.
Jupiter finished the first half 37–29 and earned the East Division crown. The Hammerheads advanced to the 2026 FSL postseason.
The Hammerheads took control early in the clinching game. Luis Arana and Carter Johnson opened with back-to-back singles. A wild pitch scored the game’s first run. Two batters later, Edgardo De Leon hit a two-run home run to center field, giving Jupiter a 3–0 lead after the first inning. Johnson added a two-run single during a four-run ninth inning to extend the advantage.
Starter Manuel Genao worked five innings and allowed one run while navigating several scoring threats from Daytona. The bullpen continued the effort, highlighted by Luis Cesar escaping a two-on, two-out situation in the eighth inning. Jupiter then added four runs in the ninth. Relievers closed out the 8–1 victory and secured the division crown.
