FCL Rays – Florida Complex League
The Florida Complex League (FCL) Rays are a rookie-level team. They are a Minor League Baseball (MiLB) affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. The team competes in the FCL South Division at Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte, Florida. Explore facility photos, view the map, access official FCL links, and check Port Charlotte weather.
The team plays most home games on the practice fields, with the main ballpark used occasionally. Admission is free, and the facility offers limited seating and amenities. Small crowds put fans close to the action, with little distance between them and the field. The FCL Rays play up to six days a week from Monday through Saturday.
Charlotte Sports Park spans 82 acres and includes five full practice diamonds plus a half field for infield drills. All fields feature natural grass, and indoor batting cages next to the practice fields allow training in all weather conditions. The complex provides rookie players with professional-grade training and game experience, helping them develop for higher levels.
The ballpark serves the Rays’ organization for Spring Training. Each spring, the facility hosts the Tampa Bay Rays as part of the Grapefruit League.
