Daytona Tortugas – Florida State League

The Daytona Tortugas are a Single-A Florida State League (FSL) team. They are a Minor League Baseball (MiLB) affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Opened in 1914, Jackie Robinson Ballpark is Minor League Baseball’s oldest continuously operating venue. Jackie Robinson broke professional baseball’s color barrier here in 1946, and the ballpark was later renamed in his honor. Robinson’s appearance there marked one of the first integrated professional baseball games in the modern era.

Spanish-style architecture and views of the Halifax River preserve the historic character of the site. Indoor batting cages, clubhouses, and training areas serve player development needs. The ballpark features a mix of traditional grandstand seating, box seats, and shaded viewing areas along the main concourse. Its playing surface is synthetic turf, improving consistency and playability during Florida’s rainy season.

The Daytona Tortugas offer recurring promotions throughout the season. Silver Sluggers Tuesdays offer perks for senior fans. Belly Buster Wednesdays feature unlimited concessions. Thirsty Thursdays bring drink specials. Postgame fireworks take place after select Friday home games. Sheldon’s Family Fun Pack offers a Sunday package for younger fans and parents. Ticket options include individual games, season plans, and group outings. Find the latest schedules and ticket information on the team’s official website.

Most Florida State League teams share training complexes with their parent clubs. Many facilities host both an FSL team and a Florida Complex League (FCL) affiliate. The Cincinnati Reds, parent club of the Tortugas, hold Spring Training in Arizona in the Cactus League. No FCL team plays at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
