Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota has hosted Orioles Spring Training since 2010. The ballpark features seating from Oriole Park at Camden Yards, wide concourses, and varied seating areas. A fabric sunshade covers much of the upper seating bowl, helping keep fans shaded during day games. A left-field pavilion offers drink rails and casual seating overlooking the field. Most sections provide close sightlines to the action. Adjacent training areas include batting cages, pitching labs, and biomechanics systems. The complex also has a climate-controlled training infield.

Just east of downtown, Ed Smith Stadium sits near restaurants, shops, and areas along Sarasota Bay. Bayfront Park lines the bay with walking paths and marina views. About 9 miles from the stadium, Siesta Beach attracts visitors with its soft white quartz sand. East of the stadium, the Mote Science Education Aquarium focuses on marine science and hands-on education.

When the regular season begins, the Orioles compete in the American League. During the summer, the Florida Complex League (FCL) holds its season, and the FCL Orioles play at Ed Smith Stadium.
