Pittsburgh Pirates Block Party
The 2026 Pittsburgh Pirates Block Party returned to Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton on Saturday, February 14. Fans gathered to celebrate the start of Spring Training at a street festival featuring music, games, and food. Pitchers Justin Lawrence, Isaac Mattson, and Brandan Bidois attended, along with catcher Rafael Flores. The players signed autographs and posed for photos with fans.
The Pittsburgh Pirates are a Major League Baseball (MLB) club. They have held Spring Training at LECOM Park in Bradenton since 1969, one of the Grapefruit League’s longest-running traditions. The Pirates use LECOM Park for games and Pirate City for training. Their Single-A affiliate, the Bradenton Marauders, competes in the Florida State League (FSL).
The ballpark combines preserved architectural elements with modern fan amenities. A boardwalk circles the outfield, and open viewing areas give fans several vantage points. Pirate City, about 4 miles away, serves as the team’s player development complex. Four full-size practice fields and on-site housing support Minor League Baseball (MiLB) players.
Events like the Block Party connect fans with the team’s Spring Training tradition and the Pirates’ top prospects.
