2026 MLB Regular Season Schedule
Florida Pro Baseball covers the Major League Baseball (MLB) teams in Florida. They are the Miami Marlins and the Tampa Bay Rays.
MLB plans Opening Night for Wednesday, March 25, to start the 2026 season. According to the MLB schedule, the league has scheduled the San Francisco Giants to play the New York Yankees. The remaining 28 teams start play on Thursday, March 26. According to the MLB schedule, this marks the earliest traditional Opening Day in MLB history.
According to the schedule release, the Marlins are set to open their season at home. They will face the Colorado Rockies on Thursday, March 26.
The Tampa Bay Rays open the season with a nine-game road trip to St. Louis, Milwaukee, and Minnesota. They return to Tropicana Field for their home opener on April 6 against the Chicago Cubs. According to reports, crews are repairing the roof at Tropicana Field, with full restoration work ongoing.
The Marlins and Rays expect to face each other in two three-game interleague series. One series runs May 15–17 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, and the other takes place June 5–7 at loanDepot Park in Miami. MLB schedules the regular season to conclude on September 27, 2026.
