Pittsburgh Pirates Block Party
The Pittsburgh Pirates compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) and hold Spring Training at LECOM Park in Bradenton. As members of the Grapefruit League, the Pirates train here each spring before the regular season. Since 1969, the Pirates have trained in Bradenton. The Pirates use LECOM Park as their game venue and Pirate City as their player development complex. The Bradenton Marauders are the Pirates’ Single-A affiliate in the Florida State League (FSL). They play at LECOM Park and train at Pirate City.
The Pirates hosted their 2026 Block Party on Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton. Fans gathered to celebrate the start of camp at a street festival featuring music, games, and food vendors. Several players attended to sign autographs and pose for photos. Attendees met Justin Lawrence, Isaac Mattson, Rafael Flores, and Brandan Bidois.
Beyond the Block Party festivities, LECOM Park serves as the Pirates’ Spring Training home. LECOM Park combines preserved architectural elements with modern fan amenities. A boardwalk circles the outfield, and open viewing areas give fans several vantage points. Pirate City sits about 4 miles away. Pirate City operates as the team’s development hub with four full‑sized practice fields and on-site housing for minor league players.
Events like the Block Party connect fans with the team’s Spring Training tradition and player development system.
