MLB Spring Training Schedule
The 2026 Major League Baseball (MLB) Spring Training schedule includes Grapefruit League games across Florida. Teams use these games to prepare for the regular season. The schedule includes reporting dates, exhibition games, international matchups, and key events leading up to Opening Day.
Reporting Dates and Opening Games
Reporting dates fall in mid-February. Full squads report shortly after. Spring Training Opening Day is Friday, February 20. The Yankees face the Orioles at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. Two additional exhibition games also take place on Opening Day. The Red Sox host Northeastern University, while the Twins face the University of Minnesota. The full schedule begins Saturday, February 21.
MLB vs. International Teams
MLB teams play 28 exhibition games against World Baseball Classic teams during Spring Training. Played on March 3 and 4, these exhibitions help international teams prepare for the tournament.
Spring Breakout
Spring Breakout happens March 19 to 22, with Florida games at Grapefruit League venues. The event features 16 games across Florida and Arizona. Each organization plays at least one game. The Phillies compete twice to balance the schedule.
Final Games Before Opening Day
Some teams play final exhibition games on March 23 and 24 before Opening Day.
