MLB Spring Training Schedule
The 2026 Major League Baseball (MLB) Spring Training schedule includes Grapefruit League games across Florida. Teams use these games to prepare for the season. The schedule also includes reporting dates, exhibition games, international matchups, and key events before Opening Day.
Pitchers and Catchers Report Dates
MLB released its 2026 Spring Training schedule. Reporting dates fall in mid-February. Full rosters of each team follow soon after.
Spring Training Games Begin
Spring Training Opening Day is Thursday, February 20. The Yankees face the Orioles in Florida. Two exhibition games happen that day.
The full schedule begins Friday, February 21. All 30 teams play that day. Games continue Saturday, February 22.
MLB vs. International Teams
MLB teams play 28 exhibition games against international opponents during Spring Training. Games occur on March 3 and 4. These games help national teams prepare for the World Baseball Classic.
Spring Breakout Prospects Series
The Spring Breakout happens March 19 to 22 in Florida. The event includes 16 games with MLB prospects. Each organization plays at least one game. The Brewers and Phillies compete twice to balance the schedule.
Final Games Before Opening Day
Some teams play games on March 23 and 24 to finish Spring Training. The regular season opens Wednesday, March 25, with the Giants hosting the Yankees.
