Pitchers and Catchers Report
Major League Baseball released its 2026 Spring Training schedule. Pitchers and catchers report in mid‑February. Full squads follow soon after.
Spring Training Games Begin
The MLB schedule lists Thursday, February 20, as Spring Training Opening Day, with the Yankees facing the Orioles in Florida. Two exhibition games also take place. The full schedule begins Friday, February 21. All 30 MLB teams play that day. Games continue Saturday, February 22.
MLB vs. International Teams
Fans in Florida can soon watch MLB teams face international opponents. Arizona also hosts games. These exhibitions help World Baseball Classic teams prepare for 2026. A total of 28 games take place—14 each on March 3 and 4.
Spring Breakout Prospects Series
The Spring Breakout takes place March 19 through 22 in Florida. The event includes 16 games with MLB prospects. Each organization plays at least one game. The Brewers and Phillies play twice to balance the schedule.
Final Games Before Opening Day
Multiple teams play late-spring games on March 23 and 24 as they wrap up their preseason schedules. These dates close out their Spring Training schedules. MLB opens the regular season Wednesday, March 25, with the Giants hosting the Yankees.
