FCL Blue Jays Win 2025 Florida Complex League Championship

Florida Pro Baseball follows Florida Complex League (FCL) teams. This includes the FCL Blue Jays. Their Major League Baseball (MLB) affiliation is with the Toronto Blue Jays.

On July 28, 2025, the Blue Jays became Florida Complex League Champions. They defeated the FCL Twins 7–5 in Game 2. The game took place at Lee Health Complex. This title is the team’s only FCL championship in 61 years.

The 2025 regular season ran from June through late July. The Blue Jays finished 36–23 in that span. They earned a wild card spot in the playoffs.

In Game 2, Samuel Colmenares started for the Blue Jays. Dylan Leach hit a bases-clearing double in the fourth inning. The Twins tied the game in the bottom half. Aldo Gaxiola drove in two runs in the seventh inning. The Blue Jays added insurance runs in the eighth inning. Diego Dominguez closed the game with a flyout in the ninth.

The Blue Jays swept the championship series. They ended their season as Florida Complex League Champions. This marks a major achievement for Toronto’s rookie-level affiliate.
