Florida Complex League Champions
On July 28, 2025, the FCL Blue Jays won the Florida Complex League (FCL) championship. They defeated the FCL Twins 7–5 in Game 2 at Lee Health Sports Complex in Fort Myers. The title was the team’s first in franchise history. As part of Minor League Baseball (MiLB), the FCL features rookie-level teams across three divisions. The FCL Blue Jays compete in the North Division as an affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.
The 2025 regular season ran from May through late July. Over that span, the Blue Jays finished 36–23 and secured a postseason berth. Their record ranked among the league’s best in the North.
Game 1 took place on July 27, and the Blue Jays won 2–1. Pitcher Sann Omosako threw 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Aldo Gaxiola hit a game-tying double in the eighth inning, and Yorman Licourt followed with the go-ahead single.
In Game 2, Samuel Colmenares started for the Blue Jays. Dylan Leach hit a bases-clearing double in the fourth inning. The Twins tied the game in the bottom half. Aldo Gaxiola drove in two runs in the seventh inning. Raimundo De Los Santos added an RBI single in the eighth to extend the lead. Diego Dominguez recorded the final out on a fly ball.
The Blue Jays swept the championship series to win their first FCL title.
