2026 FSL West First Half Champions: Clearwater Threshers
The Clearwater Threshers clinched the 2026 Florida State League West Division first-half crown with a 2–1 win over Lakeland. The victory on June 13 at BayCare Ballpark secured a postseason berth.
The Threshers are a Single-A Florida State League (FSL) affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Clearwater finished the first half atop the West Division and advanced to the 2026 FSL postseason.
The Threshers broke a scoreless game in the fifth inning when Angel Mata delivered a two-out RBI single. Clearwater added an insurance run in the sixth on a bases-loaded walk to extend the lead.
Lakeland scored once in the eighth inning, but Clearwater’s bullpen closed out the game. Marty Gair struck out the side in the ninth to earn the save in the 2–1 victory.
Brad Pacheco earned the win after throwing five shutout innings. Micah Ottenbreit and Gair combined to preserve the lead and complete the clinch.
