Jupiter Hammerheads Win 2023 Florida State League Championship
Florida Pro Baseball follows Florida State League (FSL) teams in Florida.
On September 20, the FSL Jupiter Hammerheads clinched the title as the 2023 champions of the Florida State League. Their Major League Baseball (MLB) affiliation is with the Miami Marlins.
The FSL 2023 regular season began on April 6 and concluded on September 10.
In the first half of the season, the Palm Beach Cardinals clinched the FSL East Division with a 37-28 record. The Clearwater Threshers excelled in the FSL West division with a record of 44-21.
In the second half of the season, the Jupiter Hammerheads won the FSL East Division with a 35-31 record. And the Lakeland Flying Tigers topped the FSL West division with a record of 44-22.
On their journey to the FSL Championship Series, the FSL Jupiter Hammerheads beat the FSL Palm Beach Cardinals to earn their spot in the Championship Series. Likewise, the FSL Clearwater Threshers beat the Lakeland Flying Tigers in the semifinals, securing their place in the final showdown.
In the FSL Championship Series, the FSL Jupiter Hammerheads were victorious against the FSL Clearwater Threshers with their best-of-3 Finals win. They are the 2023 Florida State League champions. It is their first Florida State League championship.
