FCL Braves Win 2023 Florida Complex League Championship
Florida Pro Baseball follows Florida Complex League (FCL) teams.
On August 26th, the FCL Braves clinched the title as the 2023 champions of the Florida Complex League. Their Major League Baseball (MLB) affiliation is with the Atlanta Braves.
The FCL 2023 regular season began on June 5th and concluded on August 22nd. This season, the FCL Mets clinched the FCL East division with an impressive 32-18 record. Similarly, the FCL Yankees excelled in the FCL North division with a record of 33-22. The FCL Pirates attained a 32-23 record, leading the FCL South division, while the FCL Braves followed closely with a 30-24 record.
On their journey to the FCL Championship Series, the FCL Braves beat the FCL Mets in the semifinals, securing their place in the final showdown. Likewise, the FCL Yankees beat the FCL Pirates to earn their spot in the Championship Series.
In the FCL Championship Series, the FCL Braves were victorious against the FCL Yankees. They are the 2023 champions of the Florida Complex League.
The FCL is comprised of rookie-level baseball teams that operate exclusively within the geographical confines of Florida. Each team has a Major League Baseball (MLB) affiliation. Typically, these teams engage in competition at their parent club’s Spring Training facility.
