Pittsburgh Pirates Block Party
Florida Pro Baseball follows pro baseball leagues and teams in Florida, including the Grapefruit League Pittsburgh Pirates and the Florida State League (FSL) Bradenton Marauders. In February, the Pirates and Marauders held a block party in downtown Bradenton, showcasing their spirit and engaging with the local community.
Among the participants were Pirates General Manager Ben Cherington, Joe Klimchak, the in-game host for the Pirates’ PNC Park in Pittsburgh, and Pirates Manager Derek Shelton.
Pirates’ pitchers Chase De Jong, JT Brubaker, Mike Burrows, and prospect Quinn Priester signed autographs. Also signing autographs were outfielder Cal Mitchell and infielder Termarr Johnson. Quinn Priester and Termarr Johnson are both former first-round MLB draft picks.
