Washington Nationals – Grapefruit League
The Washington Nationals, a Major League Baseball (MLB) team, hold Spring Training at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida. As part of the Grapefruit League, the Nationals train here each spring before the regular season. This page features ballpark photos, a map, official MLB links, and West Palm Beach weather information.
CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches accommodates Spring Training for both the Astros and Nationals. A 360-degree concourse circles the seating bowl, while covered batting tunnels behind the stands give players a protected warmup space. The main ballpark and multipurpose areas feature natural grass, though some training fields use synthetic turf. Each team uses a separate clubhouse and operates independently within the complex. Shared plaza areas give fans from both clubs a common gathering space.
Atlantic Coast beaches lie just east of West Palm Beach across the Intracoastal Waterway. Palm Beach Municipal Beach offers convenient access, nearby cafés, and a relaxed oceanfront setting. Farther north, Ocean Reef Park provides a quieter shoreline with dunes and walking paths. The Norton Museum of Art and Henry Morrison Flagler’s historic estate showcase culture and history. Mounts Botanical Garden and Manatee Lagoon let visitors enjoy scenic strolls and observe wildlife. Clematis Street features shops, restaurants, and a lively, walkable evening atmosphere.
After Spring Training, the Nationals compete in the National League. During the summer, the Florida Complex League (FCL) runs its season. The FCL Nationals and FCL Astros play at the complex.
