New York Mets – Grapefruit League

The New York Mets hold Spring Training at Clover Park in Port St. Lucie, Florida. As part of the Grapefruit League, the Mets train here each spring before the regular season. This page includes photos and a map of the ballpark, links to official Major League Baseball (MLB) resources, and Port St. Lucie weather information.

Clover Park at the St. Lucie Sports Complex has hosted Mets Spring Training since 1988. The ballpark shares the same field dimensions as the former Shea Stadium. A large canopy shades many fixed seats. Most of the outfield berm and social spaces remain in direct sunlight. An indoor training complex with pitching tunnels and five outdoor practice fields is also part of the facility.

Atlantic Coast beaches on Hutchinson Island lie about 12–15 miles east, offering sandy swimming and coastal recreation. Savannas Preserve State Park protects thousands of acres of freshwater marsh, with trails and kayaking through quiet wetlands. The Fort Pierce waterfront, about 10 miles north, features dining and marina views along the Indian River Lagoon. Port St. Lucie, midway between Miami and Orlando, makes a convenient base for exploring these nearby attractions.

After Spring Training, the Mets compete in the National League. The complex hosts the Florida State League (FSL) team, the St. Lucie Mets. During the summer, the Florida Complex League (FCL) runs its season, and the FCL Mets play at the complex.
