Houston Astros – Grapefruit League
The Houston Astros hold Spring Training at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida. As part of the Grapefruit League, the Astros train here each spring before the regular season. This page includes photos and a map of the ballpark, links to official MLB resources, and West Palm Beach weather information.
CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida, is a dual-tenant facility accommodating Spring Training for both the Astros and Nationals. The ballpark includes a 360-degree concourse and covered batting tunnels that shield players from the afternoon sun. Plaza areas throughout the complex bring fans from both organizations together before and after games. Several training fields use synthetic turf, but most facilities, including the main ballpark and multipurpose fields, remain natural grass. Separate clubhouses allow each team to maintain independence while sharing the ballpark efficiently. Nearby Atlantic beaches give visitors the option to combine baseball with coastal recreation.
After Spring Training, the Astros compete in the American League. During the summer, the Florida Complex League (FCL) runs its season, and the FCL Astros play their games at the complex. The site also hosts their FCL partner, the FCL Nationals.
