FCL Yankees – Florida Complex League
The Florida Complex League (FCL) Yankees are a rookie-level Minor League Baseball team in the FCL North Division affiliated with the New York Yankees. The team plays at the Yankees Player Development and Scouting Complex in Tampa, Florida. This page includes a map of the complex, links to official FCL resources, and Tampa weather information.
Teams usually play games on training fields rather than the main stadium, with free admission and limited bleacher seating. Additionally, fans get a close look at newly drafted players and international signees. Located on Himes Avenue in Tampa, approximately 2 miles from George M. Steinbrenner Field, the complex serves as the Yankees’ year-round player development headquarters. Multiple practice fields accommodate extended Spring Training operations, and indoor training areas allow year-round skill development for players of all levels. The Yankees renovated the facility in 2012. They employ a staff of approximately 50, all dedicated to developing minor league prospects across every organizational level. During Spring Training, the public can watch future Yankees develop in an informal setting, with bleacher seating along the field lines. Furthermore, its proximity to Steinbrenner Field ties development operations directly to the Yankees’ Spring Training presence in Tampa.
The Yankees Player Development and Scouting Complex is also used by other teams. Their parent team, the New York Yankees, and the Florida State League (FSL) Tampa Tarpons share George M. Steinbrenner Field.
