Action typically unfolds on surrounding practice fields rather than the main stadium. Attendance is light, giving fans an direct view of instruction and player evaluation.

JetBlue Park at Fenway South includes a player development complex adjacent to the main stadium. Two separate locker rooms serve the complex. One is for major league players, and the other is for minor leaguers. The facility contains six natural turf practice fields that teams use for training activities, including drills and rehabilitation assignments. One of the practice fields matches the dimensions of Fenway Park.

The ballpark also serves the Red Sox organization for Spring Training. Each spring, the facility hosts the Boston Red Sox as part of the Grapefruit League.
