FCL Rays – Florida Complex League

The Florida Complex League (FCL) Rays are a rookie-level team affiliated with the Tampa Bay Rays. They compete in the FCL South Division. The team plays at Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte, Florida. This page includes photos and a map of the facility, links to official FCL resources, and Port Charlotte weather information.

Admission is typically free, crowds are small, and the facility offers limited seating and amenities. Games run up to six days a week from Monday through Saturday. This reflects the league’s focus on player development rather than fan spectacle.

Five full practice diamonds and a half field for infield drills make up the Charlotte Sports Park complex. The FCL Rays play most home games on the practice fields, occasionally using the main stadium for special games. All fields, including the stadium, feature natural grass, so players experience an authentic playing surface. Indoor batting cages next to the practice fields allow players to train in all weather conditions.

The FCL Rays’ Major League Baseball (MLB) parent team also uses Charlotte Sports Park. Each spring, the Tampa Bay Rays hold Grapefruit League Spring Training at the complex. The facility sits about 80 miles south of Tropicana Field, giving fans several Rays-related baseball opportunities in the area.
