FCL Rays – Florida Complex League
The Florida Complex League (FCL) Rays are a rookie-level Minor League Baseball team in the FCL South Division affiliated with the Tampa Bay Rays. The team plays at Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte, Florida. This page includes photos and a map of the complex, links to official FCL resources, and Port Charlotte weather information.
The Charlotte Sports Park complex features five full practice diamonds and a half field for infield drills and specialized training. The FCL Rays play most home games on Field No. 5 within the complex, occasionally using the main stadium for special games or events. All fields, including the stadium, are natural grass, giving players an authentic playing surface. Indoor batting cages adjacent to the practice fields let players train year-round, regardless of weather. Admission is typically free, and the complex offers limited seating and amenities, reflecting the league’s focus on development and player growth rather than fan spectacle.
Its Major League parent club also uses Charlotte Sports Park. The Tampa Bay Rays hold Grapefruit League Spring Training at the complex each spring. Charlotte Sports Park is about 80 miles south of Tropicana Field in St. Petersburgh, Florida.
