FCL Phillies – Florida Complex League
The Florida Complex League (FCL) Phillies are a rookie-level team affiliated with the Philadelphia Phillies. They compete in the FCL North Division. The team plays at the Carpenter Complex in Clearwater, Florida. This page includes photos and a map of the facility, links to official FCL resources, and Clearwater weather information.
Teams usually play on practice diamonds, saving the main stadium for select occasions. Admission is typically free, seating is limited, and crowds are small. Games follow a Monday through Saturday schedule typical of rookie-level development leagues. The complex contains four full baseball fields. Fans can watch drills, preparation, and live play in a development setting.
Adjacent to BayCare Ballpark, the Carpenter Complex serves as the Phillies’ year-round player development headquarters. Indoor batting cages keep players active even during poor weather. Four practice fields honor Phillies Hall of Famers Rich Ashburn, Robin Roberts, Mike Schmidt, and Steve Carlton. The site unifies the Phillies’ previously scattered Florida operations into a single campus. On-site weight rooms and recovery areas round out the training environment.
Other teams also train at the facility. Their parent team, the Philadelphia Phillies, uses the ballpark for Spring Training. The Florida State League (FSL) Clearwater Threshers play at BayCare Ballpark.
