FCL Orioles – Florida Complex League
The Florida Complex League (FCL) Orioles are a rookie-level team affiliated with the Baltimore Orioles. They compete in the FCL South Division. The team plays at Ed Smith Stadium and the nearby Buck O’Neil Baseball Complex in Sarasota, Florida. Most games take place at the main stadium. Admission is typically free, and attendance is generally light. When games are held in the main stadium, fans have access to standard seating throughout. Games on the practice fields offer limited or no seating. The Orioles play up to six days a week from Monday through Saturday.
The Buck O’Neil Baseball Complex sits at Twin Lakes Park in Sarasota, about 11 miles from Ed Smith Stadium. Serving as the Orioles’ minor league training headquarters, the complex hosts extended Spring Training and rehabilitation assignments. Named after Negro Leagues legend Buck O’Neil, the venue features five lighted baseball diamonds. Outdoor and indoor batting cages, bullpen areas, umpire rooms, and a cafeteria round out the facility.
Ed Smith Stadium is also the Orioles’ Spring Training home. The stadium hosts the Baltimore Orioles each spring as part of the Grapefruit League.
