New York Yankees – Grapefruit League

The New York Yankees, a Major League Baseball (MLB) team, hold Spring Training at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida. As part of the Grapefruit League, the Yankees train here each spring before the regular season. Visitors can find ballpark photos, a map, official MLB links, and Tampa weather information.

Together with the Yankees Player Development and Scouting Complex, the ballpark ranks among Florida’s largest Spring Training facilities. Named for the late Yankees owner, the ballpark features a field modeled after Yankee Stadium and a scalloped grandstand facade. Premium amenities include a right-field bar, loge boxes, and bullpen clubs. A 360-degree outfield concourse allows fans to walk completely around the field. Just outside the stadium, several full practice diamonds support preseason workouts and player development.

Tampa Bay’s waterfront parks, beaches, and the Hillsborough River are all accessible from the complex. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay combines roller coasters with African-themed animal exhibits. The Florida Aquarium features coral reefs, sharks, and interactive marine displays.

After Spring Training, the Yankees compete in the American League. George M. Steinbrenner Field hosts the Florida State League (FSL) team, the Tampa Tarpons. During the summer, the Florida Complex League (FCL) runs its season. The FCL Yankees play at the Player Development and Scouting Complex.
