Minnesota Twins – Grapefruit League
The Minnesota Twins, a Major League Baseball (MLB) team, hold Spring Training at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers, Florida. As part of the Grapefruit League, the Twins train here each spring before the regular season. This page features stadium photos, a map, official MLB links, and Fort Myers weather information.
Hammond Stadium anchors the Twins’ Spring Training operations, with a facade that reflects Churchill Downs–inspired architecture. A waterfall fountain marks the entrance, and palm-lined sidewalks frame the approach. Separate home and visitor clubhouses provide equal amenities for both teams. A concourse walkway runs from the stadium to nearby training fields. Named parking lanes around the stadium honor former Twins legends such as Bert Blyleven, Kirby Puckett, and Kent Hrbek.
Fort Myers Beach sits 11 miles from the complex, and downtown Fort Myers lies about 10 miles away. JetBlue Park at Fenway South, where the Red Sox train, stands 6 miles away. Fans can easily visit both ballparks in one trip.
After Spring Training, the Twins compete in the American League. Hammond Stadium hosts the Florida State League (FSL) team, the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels. During the summer, the Florida Complex League (FCL) runs its season, and the FCL Twins play at the complex.
